Northeast Indiana, September 20, 2013– Dorian Maples and Associates is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM). Recently, NAPGCM released a press release that we feel is important for Northeast Indiana to learn about the choices, tips, and assistance that are out there for their healthcare choices. Many times we hear from the community they wish they had known more in the beginning of a crisis or had planned in advanced.

NAPGCM conducted a survey of 355 geriatric care managers in August. The survey produced many tips on how to protect loved ones in assisted living facilities before, during, and after their residence. We would like to stress that this advice is important for all healthcare choices. Geriatric Care Managers can be an important partner to the care team for a loved one to help honor their wishes.
