USF offering CEO Forum as high school resource

Oct. 15, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership at the University of Saint Francis is offering keynote presentations from its annual CEO Forum as classroom resources for high school business teachers. Business teachers can use the CEO Forum materials to enrich course content, and the presentations correlate with Indiana state teaching standards.

For 20 years, the CEO Forum has brought nationally-regarded business leaders and entrepreneurs to the USF campus to address its students and the business community. The shared opportunity gives high school students the same resources from which USF students have benefitted. The university is offering the forum materials to educators free of charge. Materials consist of a 40-minute presentation by a national business leader.

Resources include “Success Leaves Tracks: Following the Footprints of Business Growth and Success,” with 2011 keynote speaker Craig Culver, owner and founder of Culver’s restaurant chain; and “The Future of Sustainability: Impact on Efficiency, Innovation and Profit, ” with 2012 keynote speaker Mike Robinson, Vice President for Sustainability and Global Regulatory Affairs for General Motors. The free high school classroom resources can be accessed by business teachers at sf.edu/ceo-forum-ed.

Materials from the 2013 CEO Forum will be available for classroom use next year.

The 2013 CEO Forum is Thursday, Oct. 17 beginning at 7 a.m. at the USF Performing Arts Center, 431 W. Berry St. “The Future of Entrepreneurship: Redefining the Marketplace” will bring Don Schenkel, retired founding chair and CEO of Tower Financial Corp. and Tower Bank, to the podium. Registration and ticket purchasing for a breakfast, business presentations and Schenkel’s keynote, “The Global Marketplace,” are at ceoforum2013.eventbrite.com.
