Fort Wayne, IN – Byron Health Center will host a Long Term Care Legislator Forum on Friday, October 18th from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. in the Byron Health Center Activity Room, 12101 Lima Rd in Fort Wayne. The Long Term Care Legislator Forum, conducted in cooperation with LeadingAge Indiana, will be an educational and networking opportunity for both Long Term Health Care facility Administrators and area Legislators with an objective of simply keeping an open dialogue with government representatives regarding critical long term care issues which impact both the elderly and the industry as a whole.
The return of this long-standing tradition, which was originally started by Kelly Borror from Parkview Hospital Continuing Care Center, has attracted the attention of our Fort Wayne area legislators. Representatives Martin Carbaugh, Matthew Lehman, David Ober and Benjamin Smaltz have already agreed to attend the event. Administrators and staff from area Long Term Health Care facilities will make up the rest of the attendees. Jim Leich, President of LeadingAge Indiana, will facilitate this interactive session discussing long term care issues.

Byron Health Center is licensed to provide intermediate and skilled nursing care while Byron Residential Center provides services to individuals who are more independent and are able to live in a residential setting.
