St. Joseph School Students Move Into New Facility

Monroeville IN. – The long awaited moving day is here for the students and staff of St. Joseph Elementary School in Monroeville. Today the children, teachers and staff will trek from their old school to the Monroeville Elementary School building that was purchased this year from the East Allen County School District.

The procession will begin at the existing school at 1:00 p.m., along with a blessing of the backpacks and then the children, teachers, and staff will walk approximately π mile to the new school. On Saturday the move continues with some help from students at Bishop Luers High School. Many Bishop Luers football players and Spirit Club members will help move boxes, supplies and furniture for the children and staff of St. Joseph Elementary School. The Bishop Luers students are slated to arrive between 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.

Monday November 25th will bring the first day of classes in the new facility.

Bishop Kevin Rhoades will visit and officially bless the new school on Thursday December 5th at 10:00 a.m.
