YBOT, or Youth Building Our Tomorrow, is a high school robotics competition. Students form teams and design, build, and program robots to perform a series of tasks, which change annually.
Awards are given out based on the robots’ design and programming and on students’ ability to problem-solve.
The event has been hosted at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast since 2010.
Teams from 13 northern Indiana high schools will compete in the championships of this team-building and robotics event. YBOT teams have been working on their designs since the fall.
