OakTree Woodworking Supply Store Given 2nd Life, Celebrating Grand Re-Opening

A 15-year-old woodworking equipment and supply business located just north of Fort Wayne (in Huntertown’s Lima-Plank Industrial Park) has been given a second life by a new owner who purchased the company in December 2014. Local entrepreneur Joseph DePrisco, a client of the Northeast ISBDC, was able to revitalize the business by redesigning the OakTree showroom, adding additional employees and inventory, and retaining a business that could have fallen by the wayside had the firm closed its doors as some feared.

To celebrate OakTree’s all-new, 4,000-square-foot retail showroom, a grand re-opening has been scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to introducing the new showroom, the event will feature demonstrations by local woodworking artisans, as well as refreshments, door prizes and a $100 gift certificate raffle.
