A new world-class coworking space begins construction in downtown Fort Wayne immediately with a planned opening of May 2016.
The coworking space, Atrium, will be located on the entire second floor of 111 W. Berry St., above Hoch Associates, in the heart of downtown.
Coworking spaces are membership-based workspaces where a diverse group of entrepreneurs, startup companies, technology-based businesses, freelancers, creatives, developers, remote workers, and other independent professionals work together in a shared setting.
Atrium’s 5,500 square feet will be custom built for Fort Wayne’s entrepreneurs. After entering the distinctive glass foyer and greeting staff at the reception desk, members will be able to take advantage of the following amenities:
* 25-seat training room
* Common space for 20-40 members
* Stage with AV setup
* 22 professional desks with storage
* Six offices with either two or four desks each
* Four small “phone booth” conference rooms for one or two people
* Two mid-size conference rooms for up to six people
* Casual space with living room-style furniture
* Kitchen with free coffee
* FiOS wireless internet
* Copier/printer/fax machine
Atrium will offer three levels of membership:
* General: Casual users who enter the space during business hours and can simply find a seat and get to work. $50 / month
* Professional: Members get a reserved desk and a place to securely keep work items, plus 24/7 access to the space. $150 / month
* Premium: A two- or four-person office space with a locking door, plus in-space and on-street signage. $350 or $700 / month
Atrium is just the most visible of the many projects being created by Start Fort Wayne, a non-profit organiztion founded just last summer. The focus of Start Fort Wayne is to build and enhance a thriving entrepreneurship community in Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana.
