Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club To Host Old Fort Cluster Dog Show

The Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club is proud to host the Old Fort Cluster Dog Show scheduled for Thursday, November 3 through Sunday, November 6 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.

Show hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, November 3 through Sunday, November 6. More than 156 registered breeds will be presented by some of the top breeders in United States. Best in Show competition is held at the end of each day’s judging.

NEIKC was awarded “Show of the Year” for 2015 by Dogs In Review magazine and Purina. The award was presented on February 14 in conjunction with the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York, New York.

Area AKC sanctioned Kennel Clubs participating include: Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club on Friday, November 4 and Sunday, November 6; LaPorte, IN Kennel Club on Thursday, November 3 and Marion, IN Kennel Club on Saturday, November 5.

The English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association will have a Supported Entry with Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes on Saturday, November 5 and Sunday, November 6. The Parson Russell Terrier Club of America will have a specialty show on Sunday, November 6.

Other show events include: Canine good citizen tests, canine eye clinic evaluation, junior handler seminar, owner-handler series, and best puppy, best bred-by and best veteran competition. Obedience and rally competitions will take place at the Memorial Coliseum Conference Center on Saturday, November 5 and Sunday, November 6. Admission is free for all events, but spectators are asked to bring a dog food donation for Community Harvest Food Bank.

Vendors from all areas of the country will be displaying dog-related items including jewelry, clothing, books, medical supplies, leather goods, grooming supplies and various gift items.
