Two-EE’s Winery Named Indiana’s Best Winery Experience Of 2016

Two-EE’s Winery has been named Visit Indiana’s Best Winery Experience of 2016. This honor comes on the heels of being them awarded “Indiana Traminette of the Year,” at the 2016 Indy International Wine Competition, the country’s largest independent wine contest.

Nestled on a hillside in Huntington County, Two-EE’s Winery is a relatively new vineyard. It was established in 2013 by Eric and Emily Harris. Eric is the head winemaker and within the first 18 months of opening, he was recognized twice as a rising star of his trade. Voters had many other award-winning wineries to choose from and they named Two-EE’s Winery in Roanoke the Best Winery Experience in Indiana. Oliver Winery

(Bloomington) and another local favorite Country Heritage Winery and Vineyard (LaOtto) rounded out the top

three.

As one of the state’s fastest growing tourism sectors, there are now approximately one hundred Hoosier wineries, up from 73 wineries only four years ago. And with seasonal arts and music events, public access to landscaped grounds and a modern approach to the centuries-old winemaking tradition, Two-EE’s is paving the way for new area wineries. “We’re honored for the distinction, and it just tells us that we’re doing things right. We are constantly listening to our customers’ feedback; their suggestions for our wine portfolio have helped us grow and expand our offerings,” says Eric. “We’re humbled to be in the same class as some of the older and more established wineries.”

“We had a record number of people vote online this year, showing that Hoosiers love their state’s natural beauty, great agritourism destinations and fabulous festivals” said Mark Newman, Indiana Office of Tourism Development Executive Director. “We had over a hundred terrific nominees and all of them are worth a visit.”

Nominees were recommended by members of Indiana’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry. The public could vote for up to five nominees in three categories: Best Winery Experience, Best Waterfall and Best Music Festival.
