Huntington University has once again been named to the list of “Top 50 Christian Colleges and Universities Exceeding Expectations 2017” by Christian Universities Online (CUO). HU comes in at #8 on the list.

“Christian Universities Online’s ranking is based on a comparison of predicted versus actual graduation rates. Huntington University’s actual graduation rate is 11 percent higher than predicted by their model. This is a tribute to the excellent work of our faculty and staff to challenge students and also provide a high level of support. Our faculty and staff go above and beyond to help students succeed,” said Dr. Mike Wanous, vice president for academic affairs & dean of faculty. “This top ranking emphasizes again the value of a Huntington University education. We provide an excellent education at a very reasonable cost.”

CUO’s methodology for the ranking began by compiling schools that are either members of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities or would qualify as member eligible. They then collected publicly available data on predicted graduation rates and actual graduation rates. CUO first considered actual graduation rates as a stand-alone data point and then considered the difference between predicted and actual graduation rates. These two categories were weighted and an overall ranking score was calculated. Each school on the list significantly surpassed its predicted graduation rate, showing that care has been taken to enhance students’ college experiences from acceptance to graduation.
