The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum Presents A Curatorial Spotlight – Behind-The-Scenes Tour

The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum offers its first segment in its 2017 Curatorial Spotlight series with a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum. This special presentation and tour will take place on January 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. under the direction of Archives Manager Ethan Bowers. Patrons wishing to attend the tour should meet in the Metal Technologies, Inc. Education Center at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum by 5:55 pm. Guests should also be prepared to move throughout the museum building as this is a mobile presentation and tour.

Areas of the museum to be toured include: the museum’s reading room and archives, the small artifacts holding room, exhibit prep and freight elevator, and a few special areas throughout some galleries not normally covered on regular visits. Guests attending the special presentation and tour will learn about the museum’s day-to-day operations related to conservation, exhibition, and interpretation, as well as some of its long-term hopes for the building and the collection.

The Curatorial Spotlight Series is provided by the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum as part of its regular admission offerings. Presentations occur the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.
