The photographs highlight one of the many public marketing campaigns undertaken by the Auburn Automobile Company in the late 1920s and early 1930s. In 1931, the company held raffles at official Collective Advertisers Association, Chicago establishments for multiple Auburn 8-98 automobiles.

The photos exhibited on the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum website show the public raffles, the establishments that sold the raffle tickets, and the raffle winners posed with their prize automobiles. Unlike other in-person exhibits, this virtual exhibit provides the public access to archival items that are not normally on display. Many of the items feature information about the archival materials that might not normally be included in a typical in-person interpretive exhibit. The exhibit provides online patrons the ability to interact with the museum from anywhere in the world.
