3rd Annual Dingus Day Celebration At The Deer Park Irish Pub

Just as the fervor of St. Patrick ’s Day has come and gone, the Deer Park Irish Pub has begun planning its third annual Dingus Day celebration for Monday, April 17, beginning 9 a.m. Dingus Day is a festive Polish holiday marked by parties and parades with some fun traditions thrown in as well.

After the long 40-day Lenten fast, The Deer Park is ready to celebrate Dingus day, also called Wet Easter Monday, with Polish food, libations and music! The theme of the day is romantic! Furthermore, the city of Fort Wayne has adopted a Polish sister city in Plock, Poland, so, thus why not celebrate with them!

Activities will be taking place throughout the day. Learn Polish polka dancing from 1-3 p.m., and from 3:30-6:30 p.m. accordionist Jay Fox will lead patrons in Polish folk tunes and dances. Men will sport polish derby hats. Pussy willows and squirt guns will be provided. This is a day in which the ladies are soaked with water and they in return soak the men.
