Senior Expo

The Wells County Council on Aging in Bluffton, IN will be hosting their annual Senior Citizen Expo on Thursday May 4th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Expo celebrates Seniors during Older Americans Month. It is held at the 4H Community Building (wheelchair accessible) located at 1240

4-H Road.

Area businesses participating in the Expo provide resources to seniors, family members and other care givers that will help seniors to live more engaged and prolific lives. Information, products and services will be featured that can improve senior’s health and enhance their level of independence.

The Senior Expo, a free event, is open to people of all ages. Attendees have the opportunity to win prizes through the Expo’s Gold Star Passport Program by visiting the Gold Star Vendors and getting their passport stamped. Bluffton Regional Medical Center will offer Free lipid panels from 9-11 a.m. (requires 10 hour fast; take meds as prescribed with water). In addition the Bluffton Animal Clinic is providing reduced cost pet vaccinations ~ only $40. The Sheriff’s Department is providing a container for unwanted prescription drug drop. The Fire Department will have information on Emergency Preparedness.

FREE food including a variety of delectable options for breakfast provided by Christian Care. Signature Health and Rehabilitation will be providing a tasty lunch. Markle Health and Rehabilitation will be supplying delicious ice cream sundaes. River Terrace is providing a delightful take home dinner for the first 250 seniors that are in attendance at the end of the Expo at 3 p.m.!
