USF Class Of 2017 Valedictorians

On May 6, the University of Saint Francis Class of 2017 received their degrees in their commencement ceremony at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The following six graduates were recognized as valedictorians in the university’s four schools:

Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership:

Jenna R. Cunningham B.B.A.

Jenna is a Business Administration graduate from the Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership and the daughter of Michael and Laure Cunningham. Jenna is currently working at Farmers State Bank in Topeka, Indiana, and would like to grow and advance with the organization. Future plans include a pursuing a master’s degree.

School of Creative Arts:

Rebekah M. Kitzmiller B.S.

Rebekah is a Pre-Art Therapy graduate from the School of Creative Arts and the daughter of Randy and Brenda Kitzmiller. Rebekah is currently an ABA Therapist for children on the autism spectrum at Hopebridge Pediatric Specialists. She plans to obtain a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis in fall 2017.

Mariah N. Wynn B.F.A.

Mariah is a Studio Art graduate from the School of Creative Arts. She plans to move to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in photography. Maria intends to freelance and create artwork then pursue a master’s degree.

School of Health Sciences:

Sara Katherine Miller B.S.N.

Sara is a Nursing graduate from the School of Health Sciences and the daughter of Pat and Kathy Will, and Dan and Leslie Miller. Sara plans to work in critical care as an RN at a local hospital upon passing the NCLEX-RN exam. She is considering continuing her formal nursing education after gaining some critical care experience.

Adeeba K. Mirza B.S.N.

Adeeba is a Nursing graduate from the School of Health Sciences and the daughter of Kamran and Theresa Mirza. Adeeba graduated in December 2016 from the University of Saint Francis. She is currently working as an RN in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Parkview Hospital. She has been accepted and will start this fall in the Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Saint Francis.

School of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Haylee N. Shirkey B.S.

Haylee is a Health and Exercise Science graduate from the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the daughter of Gary and Hollie Carroll. Haylee plans to continue her employment at Parkview Workplace Wellness with the hope of becoming a wellness coach. She is passionate about running and plans to pursue a career that combines her degree and her love of running.
