Three Rivers Music Theatre Selects New Music Director

Three Rivers Music Theatre is thrilled to announce that, Fort Wayne native, Brandon Porter has been selected as their new full-time Music Director. In addition to his new title with TRMT, Brandon will also be joining Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy’s voice faculty! Brandon’s first day will be September 3rd, 2017.

Brandon is an accomplished music director, educator, arranger, vocal coach, and pianist that has recently relocated to the Fort Wayne area. He did his studies in choral music education and Music Direction for Musical Theatre at Indiana University.

Brandon has previously held positions as Assistant Music Director (Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts), Music Supervisor (Fort Wayne Summer Music Theatre), and Director of Music (University Players). Music Direction credit highlights include – JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, RENT, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, FUGITIVE SONGS, and LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL.

A proud graduate of Northrop High School in Fort Wayne, Brandon remains involved with show choir programs across the country. His work has expanded as a full-time arranger, consultant, and educator. He has held positions as assistant director, vocal coach, and staff arranger with numerous grand champion choirs.

His voice students have garnered grand champion solo competition awards across the Midwest, landed leading roles in musical productions, and auditioned for some of the most prestigious musical theatre programs in the nation.

Current TRMT Music Director, Tommy Saul, will play his final performance on September 2nd, 2017, the closing performance of WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR: A Disney Cabaret. Tommy has been with TRMT since day one, music directing every mainstage musical and cabaret. Tommy will be setting sail with Holland America Cruises in October. TRMT wishes Tommy the very best and wants to publicly thank him for his incredible work.
